With its 1911 Art Deco fa�ade, the Protea Hotel Edward Durban is located 50 metres from Durban's main beach and one kilometre from the city centre. Rooms are decorated in pastel colours with dark wood furniture and co ordinated floral fabrics. Taxis are available at the airport and the hotel can arrange transport for a charge. Many of the city's attractions can be reached on foot from the hotel and taxis are available for longer trips.
From the airport, take the N2 towards Durban/North Coast. Follow this road until you have the option to go to the City or North Coast. Follow the road to the right into the City until you reach a sign leading to the Victoria Embankment. Take this offramp and follow this road until you reach the beachfront. Turn left on this road and keep going until you reach a yellow building on your left with signage indicating the Protea Hotel Edward.
